Essential Question
“What education and skills are needed and beneficial to succeed in topics of study at the university level and in careers that you deem engaging and worthwhile?”
I chose this essential question because I feel like it pertains to the situation I find myself regarding college/career preparedness. My goal is to pursue a career in art, ideally one that can support me financially. I find this type of work extremely rewarding and I believe I have the tenacity necessary to turn my passion into a tangible source of income. However, I also think that it's important for me to be well versed in other subjects; I am still widely interested in other topics, mainly Philosophy, Music Composition, and Literature, so I don't want to have to rule anything out. Therefore, I'll have to obtain a certain level of credibility ie. a degree and the skills that contribute to these subjects along with my primary objective (Art) and I believe a liberal arts college can provide that environment for me.

Fit School - Whittier College
Reach School - Art Center College of Design
This school is definitely in line with my interests, has an excellent reputation, and a very solid foundation to build a career in the arts on. It has a relatively high graduation rate, something that is important to me as art schools tend to retain students preventing graduation.
